California Counties HR

California Counties HR (CCHR) is the California Counties Directors of Human Resources’ (HR) professional association. The association provides a platform for county personnel administrators to exchange ideas, share best practices, and stay updated on the latest trends and regulations in the field of human resources.

The Purpose of CCHR

  • Promote the use of techniques and procedures designed to secure, train, supervise and retain high caliber public employees.

  • Provide a forum where personnel administrators in various counties can come together to discuss various problems, experiences and formulate program improvements.

  • Develop and apply expertise in employer-employee relations.

  • Serve as an educational resource to the California State Association of Counties on legislation, employee relations and other matters relating to county personnel administration.

  • Furnish educational services regarding legislative bills pertaining to county personnel practices.

  • Gather and disseminate information relating to county personnel administration.

  • Stimulate greater public interest in and civic consciousness of the importance and significance of good public personnel practice.

  • Coordinate presentations to elected officials regarding legislative or administrative actions affecting the practice of public human resources administration in California.
